On our sites over the last few months we’ve seen everything from framing and landscaping to the construction of sidewalks and Romeo and Juliet balconies.
With the recent Bowwood Dedication and projects entering finishing stages, we’re in an exciting time. Our donors and volunteers are the cement that brings these buildings together so they can take in the families in Southern Alberta that need it most.
After we broke ground in June, much work has been done on this site. As you can see below all the structure is complete and the sidewalks are done.
The next steps are finishing and priming inside. Thank you to the Pincher Creek community for supporting all stages of this project and for Build Day groups hard work.
The host site of our 2019 Women Build has developed well over the summer months. The first set of buildings have been busy with volunteer activity and are ready to start with trades. The construction of the second set of eight-plexes has begun.

The Heights is home to two Habitat for Humanity projects. The first features two duplexes which are getting finishing touches now. Did you know that Habitat does all landscaping, sodding and fencing with no additional cost to the owners?
It's important to us that our families move in with an area ready to go for the kids to play. These properties have an impressive 4,000 square feet of sod! The construction of the second set of eight-plexes has begun.
On September 11th at 4:30 PM sponsors, donors, community partners, volunteers and Habitat staff came together to celebrate the completion of 10 homes in Bowness.
Over 100 people attended, including, Josephine Pon, Minister of Seniors and Housing. This event is the culmination of the build’s community partnerships.
