Every volunteer increases our ability to help more families buy their first home through our affordable mortgage. As a volunteer, you can help in a number of ways.
Crew Leaders are a group of specialized, skilled volunteers who are responsible for training, mentoring and supervising small groups of volunteers on Habitat for Humanity build sites.
They commit to volunteering at least three days per month, and work closely with our construction site staff to lead volunteers of all skill levels.
Many Crew Leaders have backgrounds in construction, trades, or engineering, or sometimes just a love of home renovations and DIY projects! We offer ongoing training and supervision to ensure everyone has the tools they need to have a safe and fun experience on site.

This role is to provide customer service on the sales floor and maintain customer satisfaction. Friendliness and helpfulness are key elements of this role. Works directly with customers, staff and homeowners and represents Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in a professional manner. There are two ReStore locations in Calgary and one in Medicine Hat.
The Warehouse Volunteer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming donations. Working directly with donors, staff and Habitat homeowners. The Warehouse Volunteer will represent Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in a professional manner. There are two ReStore locations in Calgary and one in Medicine Hat.
This role is dedicated to assembling brown boxed, flat packed donations within the Calgary North ReStore. Working independently with an aptitude for following instructions and assembling furniture. The Brown Box Builder will represent Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in a professional manner. There are two ReStore locations in Calgary and one in Medicine Hat.
Construction volunteers get to help out with various stages of building homes, including framing, painting, drywall and more.
You'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals and will be given all the materials and instruction you need to have a safe, fun and fulfilling day on site.
Construction sites are active from Tuesday to Saturday, and shifts are from 8:30-4:00. These opportunities are open to individuals ages 16+.
We are involved with numerous events year-round including home dedications, ground breakings, fundraising events and booths. We are always looking for volunteers to support these events and more.
Use your skills and be part of a dynamic team working to make a difference in communities across Southern Alberta. Positions include Chair, Secretary/Treasurer, Marketing Lead, Fundraising Lead, and more.
