Volunteer Scott-light

We first met Dennis at our ReStore booth in the Fall Trade Show of 2014. He started volunteering two days per week, and was enjoying it so much that he extended it to three!

Volunteer Spotlight Dennis Scott Dennis Scott

Dennis began his career in Borden, ON in the military. Over 33 years, held a variety of different positions, from infantry to transport and to ammunition technician. During his time in the military, he gave much of his time to the Military Hockey League, serving as referee, equipment manager, coach and even Vice President.

Dennis and his wife of 48 years have two boys, who both followed in their father’s footsteps and joined the military. They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

We wanted to know what Dennis does for fun. “I occasionally play pool and swim,” he said. “But really, ReStore is my fun!” He enjoys working with the customers, he loves the staff and it keeps him moving!

When asked to describe Dennis, our ReStore staff could not say enough positive things. He’s easy to get along with and has a great personality. He brings a happy-go-lucky energy to the store and is always happy to give a helping hand. He has a natural knack for making people smile, and we are so delighted that he’s chosen the ReStore to volunteer his extra time!

Thanks so much for your time and energy! You really brighten up the Medicine Hat ReStore!
