Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Calgary

Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity and its ReStores

Your dependability, reliability, time and talent are key to our success, and we are world-renowned for the empowering, meaningful experiences that we offer.

Every volunteer increases our ability to help more families buy their first home through our affordable mortgage. As a volunteer, you can help in a number of ways.

Crew Leader Volunteer

Crew Leaders are a group of specialized, skilled volunteers who are responsible for training, mentoring and supervising small groups of volunteers on Habitat for Humanity build sites.

They commit to volunteering at least three days per month, and work closely with our construction site staff to lead volunteers of all skill levels.

Many Crew Leaders have backgrounds in construction, trades, or engineering, or sometimes just a love of home renovations and DIY projects! We offer ongoing training and supervision to ensure everyone has the tools they need to have a safe and fun experience on site.

If you are looking on behalf of a company or community group, learn more about the opportunities available to you through our Build Days.

Best in Calgary Badge

“I volunteer because it's very rewarding to see the happy smiles on the young families as they're moving to their new home. You know if you give out yourself to others, you'd be rewarded and certainly that has been the case with me.”
