Land recognition

Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta acknowledges that we live, work, and build on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta. This includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney). We also recognize the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6, and the many other Indigenous Peoples who call this region home.

We honour and respect the enduring relationships Indigenous Peoples have with these lands, and we are committed to working together toward reconciliation and stronger communities.
