A Build Day is a hands-on volunteer experience where your team helps build a Habitat home alongside our staff and future homeowners. It’s a meaningful, memorable way to give back—no construction experience needed.
Our construction site is welcoming to all skill levels. Your Build Day includes:

Women Build
Bring your team together to support women and families.
Women Build is a special team-building opportunity that celebrates the power of women helping women. No experience is needed—just a desire to learn, lead, and lift others up. Sponsorships available.
Industry Build
Put your values to work—on the build site
Industry Build is a week-long event where companies from Alberta’s energy sector come together to help local families build safe, affordable homes. It’s a great way to give back, connect with others in your industry, and show your team what community leadership really looks like. Sponsorships include recognition and a full-day team experience.
Frequently asked questions
Depending on the stage of the build you could be doing tasks such as framing, cabinet installations, drywall, landscaping and finishing. Our Construction Crew does an excellent job of pairing the task to the person and their comfortability level.

Build Days fill up quickly, especially the summer months. We recommend contacting us October-December to secure a spot for the coming year.

No, as per CRA rules payment for a Build Day is not eligible for a tax receipt.
Yes, you may fill your spots as you like. The cost of a Build Day remains the same regardless if you can fill all 12 or 18 spots.
Your Build Day will be located at one of our active build sites. As construction timelines are often difficult to predict, we cannot guarantee your build site location too far in advance.

Yes, your group is permitted to participate for a half day. However, please be aware the prices and group size options will remain the same as a full day.
