Local Chapters

Building community, together

Our local Chapters bring people together to help more families build and buy affordable homes in communities across Southern Alberta. Each Chapter is led by volunteers who raise funds, plan events, and support Habitat’s work close to home.

Our local Chapters

We have active local Chapters in these areas of Southern Alberta:

  • Medicine Hat
  • Foothills (High River and Okotoks)
  • Brooks

Each Chapter is led by passionate volunteers who are committed to bringing affordable housing to their communities. They are dedicated leaders who engage whole communities, raise funds, plan events, support families, and build affordable housing.

Meet Marilyn from the Foothills Chapter

Volunteers are at the heart of our local Chapters. People like Marilyn Boake show how much one person can do when they care about their community.

Marilyn has been part of the Foothills Chapter for more than twelve years. She has helped build homes, raise nearly $1 million, and support families as they put down roots. From welcoming new homeowners to organizing events and fundraisers, she brings energy and kindness to everything she does.

Marilyn shows a large greeting card full of warm wishes that she received from a Habitat homeowner.
