Your donations play a pivotal role in waste reduction by giving items a second chance. By extending their lifespan, you're not just decluttering your space - you're significantly reducing waste sent to landfills. This means less environmental strain on our planet and more opportunities for these items to find new homes and purposes! 

In 2023, your donations to Habitat ReStores in Calgary and Medicine Hat contributed to 4,100 tons of waste being diverted from landfills. That is the equivalent of about 342 school buses! 

Your donations (and purchases) directly contribute to conservation efforts, preserving valuable resources and reducing the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing and transporting new products. Every item you donate helps conserve materials and resources that would otherwise be used in producing new goods. 

But that's not all! Your support empowers our mission to build more affordable homes, as funds generated are used to fund local Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta affordable homeownership program. 

Since 1990, we have partnered with more than 350 families across Southern Alberta, impacting the lives of more than 1000 children.
